With the changes to Real Estate and business in general, “The Great American Shakeup” conducted a survey with 1,000 Americans in four dominant markets in real estate innovation, NYC, DC, Miami and Houston. The survey asked questions in which predicted the new “playbook” for how future business will be conducted. With people staying home to work more than ever, adjusting to this is essential. Results from the survey showed that Pre- pandemic 1 in 3 Americans ranked work as the most important thing in their lives. Post pandemic closer to 1 in 4 Americans ranked work as the most important thing. It is clear that the pandemic has awakened a different sense of work-life balance changing priorities among most. As someone pursuing a career in commercial real estate it will be interesting to see how the changes implemented by the pandemic will play out in the long run.
